For the month of March in MATS bootcamp, we were to design “jell-o-themed” bolt-fabric. At first, I was a bit freaked out. How can I make “jelly” design worthy? I’m still so new to all things surface pattern design. But oh so quickly, I fell head over heals for the quirky, translucent, wibbly-wobbly stuff. I even ate some blue raspberry jell-o as inspiration ;). Here is a peak at my process. Initial sketches and icons through to the final little pattern I submitted. Hopefully I’ll get to create many coordinating patterns in our month off in April. Now, off for some tea and finishing all of my art show applications for the Summer and Fall! EEP!
