Finished products are fun and slightly (okay… very) satisfying. But, typically no one sees the process that went into the work (unless they did it, of course). So, I decided I am going to start sharing the process my paintings go through. I swear, in some paintings, you get a three or four in one deal. There is probably at least one entirely different painting underneath most of them. I usually just start grabbing different colors and go with it until something clicks. Here is what I have been painting today with my new easel. Have I mentioned that before? Ah, I love it. The piece is for my parents’ foyer, so it has a bit more country-esque nature than I’d like. But, hey it is a work in progress. Check it out:

Oh, I love Sundays. Milk tea, painting, listening to great music and relaxing, are just a few more reasons why, to me, Sundays are the best days.

Thank you God for rest and re-affirmation that you are who you say you are.

“20 yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform. 22 Therefore IT WAS ALSO CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS. 23 Now not for his sake only was it written that it was credited to him, 24 but for our sake also, to whom it will be credited, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 He who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification.” -Romans 4: 20-25
